 About IMT Minimize

Irish Music Traditions was founded in 1999 to promote the Irish traditional arts in Atlanta, Georgia.  IMT is a non-political, non-religious, non-profit organization with the following major goals:

  • To promote Irish traditional music in all its forms;
  • To promote Irish traditional dancing;
  • To foster and promote the Irish language;
  • To create a closer bond among all lovers of Irish music;
  • To cooperate with all bodies working for the restoration of Irish culture.

IMT is a membership organization with elected officers.  Dues are inexpensive, and membership includes a subscription to a quarterly magazine, Treoir, dedicated to Irish traditional arts.

To achieve the above goals, IMT organizes a variety of educational and social activities.  Click on the Activities link above for more information.
